Ingredients

200g Frozen Edamame in pods
1 tsp Flaky sea salt
1 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
A few drops Sesame oil
Optional Chili flakes or shichimi

Preparation

  1. Steam the edamame for 5-6 minutes from frozen, or boil in salted water for 4 minutes. It should be bright green and firm to the bite.

  2. Drain and place in a large bowl. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over them so it adheres to the hot pods.
  3. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and add a few drops of intensely fragrant sesame oil. Serve hot or at room temperature. Eat by popping the beans out of the pod with your teeth.
